I completed my massage training with SMCE and couldn't be happier with the decision. I chose SMCE for its reputation and certification, and it lived up to expectations. Elaine is a fantastic teacher knowledgeable, detail-oriented, and great at explaining. What I loved most was that we started practicing massage from day one; that hands-on approach made the techniques click, and the theory made much more sense afterward. The T3 location was excellent: great facilities, well organized, and a comfortable space to learn in. Tenerife itself is a beautiful, relaxing setting, perfect for combining study with some downtime. Book a course with Elaine! You won't regret it. Elaine is a v special individual - she has a beautiful combination of talent, empathy, intuition, knowledge, years of experience and humour! I did the 1 week holistic massage course with her and a very intimate group of just 4 other people. Elaine delivers the training in a practical and engaging way so that your attention is captured and you're never bored. After the course i felt confident to practice on friends and family and a few months after the course, I got a job at a massage salon in Amsterdam because of Elaine's thorough training. I have done Holistic and Deep Tissue course with myofascial meridians diploma lvl3 in May 2024... Both Courses took a week each, be prepared it's intense course, that will teach you life long skill, it will be up to you to master it yourself... Location is perfect, so is tuition.. Prepare with hands on approach, because you will be massaging from day 1.. Elaine was always there to make sure we don't overwhelm ourselves and told as to take break and chill when need to... Course is highly integrated to fit modern day, and you will learn to adapt massage skills gained to your own style of practice, you will gain confidence and learn to trust yourself by working with mixed range of clients... ~ Rimantas B

I completed the 5 day Holistic Massage Diploma and loved every minute of it. Location was great, with beautiful views of the beach! The course structure was packed but absolutely wonderful and taught in such a way that allowed us to develop our knowledge and practical skills massively during the 5 days. Met some beautiful people and made a friend for life. Elaine had all the time in the world for all of us, not just during the lessons but also away when completing the theory aspect of the course. Choosing SMCE was one of the best decisions I made. Elaine was highly recommended to me, and from the very beginning the course exceeded all my expectations. I loved the blended learning format because it gave me the flexibility to study at home using the recommended books and videos before attending the practical training. The courses are very hands-on, so you start practicing massage techniques right away instead of only learning theory. The personal guidance from the instructors was exceptional. They were always patient, supportive, and happy to answer any questions. After completing the courses, I had the opportunity to do my case studies at Duke Gym in Tenerife, which was such an incredible experience. The MMA team and all the staff there were genuinely kind, welcoming, and supportive, making it a fantastic environment to learn and grow. From the very beginning, I had a great feeling about SMCE because every question I had before enrolling was answered quickly and professionally. Their communication was excellent, which gave me a lot of confidence. If you're thinking about taking a course with SMCE, don't hesitate. I can honestly recommend it 100%. Completed my Sports Massage & Deep Tissue Level 3&4 this winter at T3 with Elaine. I stayed in Tenerife for one month, did the course and stayed for the 2 weeks placement at Duke Gym. The course was very well-structured, I got all the theory provided as soon as I pre-paid for the course. I came well-prepared, studied thoroughly all the things Elaine asked for before starting the course. Elaine is an amazing and supportive teacher! A lovely person who teaches hands-on skills and core things that will stay with me forever. Not only she tecahes you everything about massage but also shares her own experience which is extremely useful! Placement at Duke Gym was excellent! Got to practice my skills on athletic and daily exercising bodies! Everyone was super nice! As I am very keen on exercising myself, bought a gym pass for one month and enjoyed working out in my free time. Tenerife is excellent and the massage school is brilliant! Don't hesitate! Had the best experience taking the holistic and deep tissue massage courses at SMCE Tenerife. Elaine is a fantastic teacher with years of experience, you get lots of hands on experience and immediate feedback. I also did the work study to complete my practical hours which I highly recommend. I recently completed the Holistic Massage course at Tenerife T3, and the experience was exceptional from start to finish. The staff were incredibly helpful from the moment I first enquired. Communication was fast, clear, and thorough — they even shared extra practical details that were invaluable for a foreign student like me, such as transport tips and recommendations on where to eat or exercise. I truly felt cared for from day one. The T3 facility itself is professional, well-equipped, and very comfortable to study in. The course was well-structured with a positive, supportive atmosphere. At first I thought the lessons would be intense, but our instructor Elaine guided each student with perfect timing. She gave personalised feedback exactly when we needed it, and her encouragement every day was a huge energy boost. By the end of the course, all of us were able to confidently perform the full massage sequences. What I loved most is that the training wasn’t only about learning techniques — we also focused on mindset, intention, and the deeper purpose behind the practice. I had an absolutely amazing experience completing my Holistic Massage and Sports Massage Level 3&4 qualifications with SMCE, training at the beautiful Finca de Naranjas in Playa Paraíso. From the very beginning, I felt so supported and encouraged, especially by my amazing mentor, Elaine Whillock. Elaine is incredibly knowledgeable, patient and passionate about what she does. She made the practical training enjoyable, relaxed and easy to understand, while also challenging me to become more confident and professional as a massage therapist. I really enjoyed the combination of home study and practical training. Being able to learn the theory in my own time and then put everything into practice during the hands-on sessions was a great way to learn. The training gave me a much deeper understanding of massage, anatomy and different techniques, and I finished feeling much more confident in my abilities. Completing these qualifications has helped me take a big step towards building my career in massage therapy. I’m so grateful to SMCE and, in particular, to Elaine for all her guidance, encouragement and support throughout my journey. I completed an in person holistic massage diploma course with SMCE in March 2026, and I cannot recommend this school enough. The tutor Elaine is an experienced and highly regarded massage therapist, who gave very detailed explanations of all the techniques and working practices shared throughout the week. I received theory material - books to read, videos to watch, and some coursework questions - a few weeks before the course. I would recommend booking at least a few weeks ahead so you have time to go through this before the intensive study week. It is a well chosen selection of materials that really prepares you well for the physical sessions. I chose SMCE as I liked the fact Elaine has a trained in a variety of massage styles, including strong background in sports massage. I chose holistic massage, but as I with as a fitness instructor, I wanted a course that would help me improve my knowledge on anatomy, physiology, and recovery and injury prevention. I would strongly recommend this course to anybody seeking similar. Elaine creates a perfect balance between a calm and relaxed environment, and firm, expert guidance - both for students and clients. She has given me the skills and confidence to start out as a massage therapist, which over the last few months has been going very well for me and my growing client list. Another main attraction was the beautiful location in Tenerife! The scenery and climate created the perfect setting to enjoy a week away from home focussing my attention on the course - I felt i learned better without all the distractions of my home environment. I chose SMCE because it offered both Level 3 & 4 Sports Massage qualifications for beginners. The course syllabus was comprehensive, well structured and very practical! After comparing various courses across different countries, SMCE stood out as the best fit for me. The blended learning programme was extremely effective, allowing me to continue with my normal routine/ working life while incorporating self study in the months leading up to the live practical training. Training at T3 was a fantastic experience. Elaine was an amazing teacher, combining extensive knowledge, professionalism, care and humour in a way that made every session engaging and memorable! The course was very insightful, academically challenging and delivered in a very relaxed and fun environment. The Tenerife location was an added bonus! This qualification has given me the confidence to begin my journey in sports massage and holistic massage therapy with great excitement. It has opened the door to a completely new professional path and inspired me to continue developing my skills and knowledge in the field. I would highly recommend SMCE to anyone considering massage therapy. The course structure was excellent, the teaching was of the highest standard and the positive dynamic among the other learners made the experience even more interactive and rewarding. Being able to learn the theory independently and then apply it during the intensive practical training helped reinforce my understanding and build confidence. Another valuable aspect was having the chance to not only practice techniques on others, but also to receive treatments ourselves.
